Piercing Information

At Red, we have many years of piercing experience. When you get pierced with us you can be sure that our piercings are carried out safely and with the upmost professionalism.

When you come to the shop we will ask you to fill out a consent form and give you a Piercing Aftercare Sheet to take away with you.

Our piercings are carried out in private rooms.

We guarantee that cleanliness and sterility are our main priority. We use sterile pre-packed disposable needles. All jewellery and piercing equipment is sterilised in an AUTOCLAVE (intense heat unit) which kills all bacteria and harmful organisms including Hepatitis and HIV. Our piercers wear disposable gloves at all times whilst piercing, if you have a latex allergy please let us know and we can use latex free gloves.

We are registered with Leeds City Council Health Authority.

We don’t pierce anyone under 16 (Male and Female Intimate, Female Nipple, Dermal Anchors, Tongue and Surface piercings you must be 18+) Please bring some photo ID with you, so anything with a picture and date of birth (we also don’t accept pictures or photocopies) We don’t take parental consent so if you fail to show us a valid form of ID we do reserve the right to refuse service.

Helpful Tips:

Please make sure you have eaten within the hour before coming in for a piercing, this helps to prevent fainting and means we can carry out your piercing safely but it’s always a good idea to bring a sugary drink or snack with you, just in case.

The piercing procedure is very quick so try to remain calm and relaxed throughout. If you are worried let the receptionist or piercer know and they can help make you feel more comfortable.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
